As well as being a communication designer I am also a musician, not an uncommon combination in the world of visual arts. Rather surprisingly however I’ve only ever produced one piece of artwork for a record cover and this is it. Metronoids was recorded by three musicians who were exploring drums in an unorthodox fashion, producing obscure sounds from the objects as opposed to simply hitting them; which is what you normally do. My work here was not informed by any deep act of intellectual concentration, instead it was an experiment to see if I could represent sound on paper, something I explored later with my work for the Trinity Science Gallery.
